The members of the Prayer Blanket Ministry are very grateful for the donations of fabric and yarn. Many people in the parish help support this ministry with these abundant offerings.  The folks in our group are hard at work creating lovely lap blankets and quilts for many people in the Saint Kenneth parish community and beyond.  Our blankets are distributed to St. Mary’s Hospital, The Ann Arbor VA Hospital, Wee Care, St. Christine’s, and many other programs in the area. 

The group meets on Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00 noon.  We enjoy lively chatter and support as we stitch and knit.  Everyone is welcome to join us.  If you would like to make a blanket at home and contribute it to our ministry feel free to drop it off in the church office.

This ministry is a great opportunity for students who need to complete community service hours.  Fleece tied blankets are welcome and easy for young people to make.  Please contact me for sizes as we like the blankets to be a lap blanket size.
