Deacon Denny grew up in Moline, Illinois and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade school and Alleman Catholic High school. He was drafted into the Army and spent the last of his two year stent in Vietnam. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Park and Recreation. He is married to Raedene, his wife of 51 years. They have 3 children, a daughter and two sons and 10 grandchildren, one granddaughter and nine grandsons. They moved to Michigan from Illinois in the Spring of 2014 to be closer to family and joined Saint Kenneth's parish in May of 2015. Denny currently serves as a part time Pastoral Associate and is involved with Baptism preparation, Christian Service, Marriage preparation, Senior Group, Saint Vincent de Paul and We Care ministries.
Deacon Denny was ordained to the permanent Diaconate in May of 1997 in the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, Illinois and served as as deacon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline, Illinois for 17 years. He just celebrated his 20th year anniversary at the annual Saint Kenneth Ice Cream Social.
Denny and his wife are very thankful that God led them here on their spiritual journey and feel very blessed to be a part of the Saint Kenneth Catholic Community.
