Youth Ministry Events
LOGOS, a 6th grade religious formation program, is the theology and practice of Christian Relationships in a disciplined, mid-week, four-part context: Catechesis, Worship, Activities/Playtime, and Dinner Hour/Family Time. Catechesis, equips teens to embrace a personal relationship with Jesus through the study of Scripture and our rich Catholic Traditions. They will also learn the "how", "why", and joy of prayer. Through Worship the young people will have the opportunity to prepare as well as experience different forms of prayer. Activities/Playtime ensures that all participants experience great fun at the expense of no one else. The Dinner Hour/Family Time, part four of our LOGOS program, "provides a joyous cross-generational celebration of personhood over a shared meal as we experience being the family of God."

7th Grade Pre-Confirmation Program
Pre-Confirmation preparation is offered to all Saint Kenneth seventh grade students. Classes will begin in September and run approximately twice each month on Wednesday evenings, 6:00-8 p.m., through April. This program is to better prepare you for Confirmation in eighth grade. The program we will be using is called Decision Point. The program has a free app if you'd like to look at the material prior to class. Unlike 6th grade LOGOS, Pre-Confirmation does not have a meal but, there will be a break and a snack will be provided. Each student will receive a workbook that will stay at Saint Kenneth's until the last class. The program is a combination of workbook activities, videos, journaling, and table discussions. This is where parents come in; we will need at least 10 table parents to be at every session to help facilitate the discussions and keep students on task.
Jesus invited his friends to come with him on new adventures that deepened their faith and understanding of who He was. Likewise, St. Kenneth Parish invites young people to continue their initiation into the community of believers by preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation celebrates the presence of God's special strength and gifts in each baptized person. These youth will take time to build community with each other as they learn and grow in faith through prayer, catechetical sessions, service opportunities, and a retreat experience.
